A Hudson’s Bay boat at Fort St. James in 1909 (F. C. Swannell, British Columbia Archives I-33272) and 2011 (CW2011-10-26-098). The Parks Canada replica of the old dock is well-done, but extends out into the lake less far than the original. Apparently we missed seeing another one of those pesky “closed to public” signs. Walter was looking at the ducks, and as usual, I was preoccupied with lining up the old photograph.
