Thompson’s Prairie near the site of Saleesh House in the early 1900s (T. C. Elliot) and 2014 (CW Collection 2014-05-04-1975). The North West Company’s David Thompson built a trading post along the Clark Fork River just east of these meadows in the fall of 1809.
