Looking southwest at Bald Peak at the canyon mouth of the Clark’s Fork of the Yellowstone in 1922 (W.C. Alden, USGS-awc01194), and in 2016 (CW-2016-06-23-0615). Clearly I did not find the exact location where Alden took his photograph– he was on a rugged ridgeline with many ledges that could have been the potential location.
