Forest growth in the background makes re-photography challenging… and you have to get to know the locals to get on their front decks. It makes for a pleasant afternoon of visiting and cocktails. In the past few years I’ve been lucky enough to sail (well actually “power-sail”) through the channel in the background while on rapid trips between Powell River and the west side of Vancouver Island.
